Program Courses:
Mechanical Design 1 & 2 - 1.0 high school credit combined
- Lab based and course where students will learn how to model and prepare 2D and 3D representations in support of mechanical and industrial engineering projects as well as for other related professions. Students will learn how to visually represent their ideas and document up to engineering standards

Does class have concurrent enrollment?
Yes, this program does not offer optional concurrent enrollment. The credit replacement for the Mechanical 1 & 2 courses are EDDT 1040 and EDDT 1010 through SLCC.
What is the schedule commitment for the first year of the Engineering Program?
The program is one year long consisting of four courses that are each 0.5 high school credits. This means that the student is at the JATC for two class periods on A Days OR B Days. The students can be bused to and from their home high schools or they can drive in personal cars.
