ACT
The ACT® test assesses high school students’ general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work. The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science. The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skill in planning and writing a short essay.
Students are encouraged to take the ACT® test once in their junior year and again by the fall of their senior year in time to meet college and scholarship application deadlines. All Juniors in the Jordan School District will have the opportunity to take the ACT.

ACT® encourages online registration. Click here to access the ACT® online registration page. When registering, students will be asked to identify their high school by code. Make sure and use the code associated with your boundary school.
Many Utah schools partner with Shmoop.com to provide ACT test preparation tools to students. The following link allows students to set up an account through their home high school and utilize the test prep resources.
