New and important information about the Daniels Scholarship Program selection process this year
New for this year!
To be respectful of students’ and recommenders’ time, we have split the application into two phases this year:
Phase 1: September 15 – October 15
Students share how they spend their time, volunteer experience, academic information, employment information, and answer multiple-choice questions. After this phase, we will notify students whether or not they are moving forward to the Semi-Finalist phase.
Phase 2: Semi-Finalist October 24 – November 15
Semi-Finalists write essay questions and provide a recommendation and social media information.
To be eligible for the Daniels Scholarship Program, students must:
- Be a senior graduating from a high school in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming
- Be a resident of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming
- Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States
- Earn a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in high school (on an unweighted 4.0 scale)
- Earn a minimum SAT Math score of 490, a minimum Evidence-Based Reading & Writing score of 490, or a minimum ACT score of 18 in each category. Super scoring is not accepted.
- Meet financial eligibility requirements. The applicant's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must have an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $85,000 or less on the 2021 tax return on which the applicant is claimed as a dependent.
