The CTE Internship course offers students an unparalleled opportunity to immerse themselves in their chosen career field while gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Running for an entire semester on alternating A and B days, this dynamic class is designed to equip students with essential employability skills and industry readiness.
Coursework includes employability skills, creating a LinkedIn profile, and establishing meaningful connections within their industry at a 40-hour or more internship. Students will attend one class session each month during their internship, along with 1 to 2 weeks of dedicated classroom time at the beginning and end of the semester. Weekly assignments are also required. This structure maximizes their learning experience while providing continuous support and guidance throughout their journey.
Participation in this program is structured for juniors and seniors who have already completed two to three relevant classes. To ensure readiness, students must also submit a polished resume in the specified format, as some internship placements may require an interview.
*It's important to remember that while transportation to and from the internship site is the student's responsibility, convenient bus transportation will be provided for class days to and from the JATC.
